Colten Care Housekeeping Services make a substantial contribution to our 'quality' trademark. Housekeeping staff are considered equal members of the team in each Home.
The highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are expected and therefore we believe that staff working in this department should have access to proper induction and training with the prospect of career progression within the Company.
The first impressions that the residents and visitors get may well be as a result of the work of the housekeeping department and therefore the Home should always be fresh and welcoming. The relationship between the housekeeping staff and the residents is important and they can and do make a significant contribution to a residents' wellbeing.
Laundry is undertaken in-house and the staff ensure that all items are returned immaculately and to the correct rooms. Staff receive continuous training and are encouraged to undertake National Vocation Qualification in Cleaning and Housekeeping Services as well as being kept up to date on any new equipment and cleaning products and techniques.
Training and qualification at all levels have played an integral part in achieving the efficient and quality service we deliver to our residents.
