Key Tips for Eating Well
In order to maintain a balanced and nutritious diet, there are a number of hints and tips which you can follow:
- Don't skip breakfast
- Drink plenty of water
- Keep yourself active and try to watch your weight
- Reduce your salt intake- Adults should have an intake of less that 6g per day of salt
- Cut down on saturated fats and sugar
- Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables (at least 5 portions per day)
- Try to eat more fish- with at least 1 portion of oily fish per week, and perhaps think about trying different varieties! See Hugh's Fish Fight for more information
