Inspection Information

A new law governing the way in which carehomes are regulated by the CQC (Care Quality Commission) came into being on 1st October 2010 which removed the previous 'Star Ratings' quality system. Under this system, carehomes could be rated as:

*** (Excellent)
** (Good)
* (Adequate)
No Stars (Poor)

As such, care homes no longer have a 'Star Rating'. However, at our last Key Inspections, the Star Ratings for our homes were as follows:

Abbey View - Sherborne *** Excellent
Abbotts Barton - Winchester ** Good
Amberwood House - Ferndown ** Good
Avon Cliff - Bournemouth *** Excellent
Avon Reach - Mudeford ** Good
Belmore Lodge - Lymington ** Good
Braemar Lodge - Salisbury *** Excellent
Brook View - West Moors ** Good
Canford Chase - Branksome Park *** Excellent
Castle View - Dorchester ** Good
Court Lodge - Lymington *** Excellent
Fernhill - Ferndown   Fernhill does not have a rating due to having been inspected in April 2010 at which time Star Ratings were no longer being given.
Kingfishers - New Milton ** Kingfishers was opened in February 2009 at which point newly opened carehomes could only receive the highest rating of 'Good' upon their first inspection.
Monmouth House - Lymington *** Excellent
The Aldbury - Parkstone *** Excellent
Whitecliffe House - Blandford Forum ** Good
Woodpeckers - Brockenhurst *** Excellent
