Stephen qualified as a Registered General Nurse with BSc Nursing studies having trained at RHCH in Winchester in 1992. During this time Stephen worked and gained a diploma in cardiac intensive care. After working in the NHS and Private sector for a number of years, Stephen studied for a Management qualification and then moved into specialising in Elderly Care. Stephen lives in Bournemouth and enjoys eating out and walking his dog.

Deputy / Head of Care - Corrine Goldsmith
Corrine qualified as an enrolled nurse in 1978 and served 14 years in the army. Since 1991 Corrine has worked in every aspect of elderly care including rehabilitation both at home and in hospitals. In 2000 Corrine qualified as an RGN and has a diploma in elderly care and a BSc (Hons) degree in gerentological nursing. Corrine is a mentor and supports student nurses on placement from Bournemouth University at Amberwood.
Receptionist - Sonia Mooney
Before joining Colten Care as Receptionist at Amberwood House, Sonia managed a successful property business in Spain. Sonia’s vibrant personality is apparent as soon as you enter the doors at Amberwood House. She is always there with ready smile and helpful manner.
Activity Organiser - Miriam Taylor
Miriam enjoys working as an Activity Organiser and “Making a Difference”. She has plenty of experience previously employed in an activities role. Miriam enjoys carrying out a varied and stimulating programme; as well as getting to know residents’ and working as a team with staff at Amberwood. In her spare time she enjoys local theatre, concerts and sings with a local contemporary choir.

Chef - Sylvan Fischer Hughes
Sylvan trained at Mid Cornwall College where he achieved his City and Guilds catering qualifications. Sylvan worked at a variety of top class hotels and restaurants before joining Colten Care in May 2006. He has proved himself to be a top class chef as well as a valued member of the team.
Chef - Lorna Parson
Lorna started working for Colten Care in 1998 as a kitchen assistant. Her potential was quickly recognised and she was invited to attend Catering College in 2003. She attained her NVQ Level 2 and 3 in 2005 and in the same year was awarded the prestigious award as the most competent student in Butchery. Lorna also successfully completed a Patisserie and Confectionery qualification at Bournemouth College in 2007. Loran’s expertise and professionalism are very apparent in the Amberwood kitchen.
