Specialist Dementia Care Home- Winchester-Opening Spring 2012

This 56-bedded, specialist dementia care home is due to open in Spring 2012 and will bring some much needed quality dementia care provision to the area. The home, which is being built by Colten Care’s sister company Colten Developments, will be built and operated using the skills and experience acquired over the past nine years during which Colten Care has offered specialist dementia care.

As you can see from the pictures below, the change in the weather has brought immense progress to the development of our new specialist dementia care home in Winchester.  The first two floors and the basement are virtually completed, and it won't be long until the roof is on!

Digging the foundations of this dementia care home development took a great deal of work, with literally tons of earth needing to be moved before the foundations could be laid.

Below is a picture of our Operations Team, all hard-hatted up on site.  Although this dementia care home will open in Spring 2012, it is important to become involved in the developement early and exciting to see it progress!

  • Bournemouth care home residents enjoy ‘army service’

    THEY are more used to dangerous frontline manoeuvres, but a detachment of British officers instead brought a taste of army service to a Colten Care nursing home. Members of the Royal Corps of Signals Troop Commanders Course ‘took over’ the Avon Cliff home in Bournemouth, dispensing afternoon tea and cakes, joining residents on a seafront outing and sharing supper.
