Home Manager - Angela Bennett

Angela has many years experience as an Enrolled Nurse working in the private sector in Nursing and Residential Care Homes. She has a NVQ 4 in Leadership and Management. Angela joined Colten Care Ltd in 2010 as a Deputy Manager at one of our sister homes in Blandford. Angela lives in Christchurch and has two teenage children.

Head Of Care - Julie Harfitt

Julie is a Registered Nurse and trained at Bromley Hospital. She joined Colten Care in 1994 and has been Deputy Matron at Whitecliffe House and Brook View. Julie is also an NVQ Assessor and a Mentor for student nurses. In her spare time Julie enjoys walking her dog.

Receptionist - Sonia Mooney
Before joining Colten Care as Receptionist at Amberwood House, Sonia
managed a successful property business in Spain. Sonia’s vibrant
personality is apparent as soon as you enter the doors at Amberwood
House. She is always there with ready smile and helpful manner.

Activity Organiser - Janey Lloyd

With a BA (Hons) Degree in Theatre Arts and a teaching qualification, Janey is happy to bring her combined experience as performer and teacher to the role of Activity Organiser. Janey has worked with people of all ages and abilities, using the arts as a means of enabling others to explore their creative potential and develop their self-expression. She also enjoys theatre visits, creative writing, the outdoors and time with her cat, Trickster.

Activity Organiser - Janet Burns

Janet has worked in the care home sector for 16 years; she has 7 years experience in the role of activity Organiser and brings with her a wide variety of ideas for social interaction. In her spare time she enjoys walking and motor racing.

Chef - Sylvan Fischer Hughes
Sylvan trained at Mid Cornwall College where he achieved his City and
Guilds catering qualifications. Sylvan worked at a variety of top class
hotels and restaurants before joining Colten Care in May 2006. He has
proved himself to be a top class chef as well as a valued member of the
team.

Chef - Lorna Parson
Lorna started working for Colten Care in 1998 as a kitchen assistant.
Her potential was quickly recognised and she was invited to attend
Catering College in 2003. She attained her NVQ Level 2 and 3 in 2005
and in the same year was awarded the prestigious award as the most
competent student in Butchery. Lorna also successfully completed a
Patisserie and Confectionery qualification at Bournemouth College in
2007. Loran’s expertise and professionalism are very apparent in the
Amberwood kitchen.
