Canford Chase is situated in the grounds of large secluded garden with easy access, mature trees and various seating areas. The tastefully furnished reception with seating area adjoins the extensive ground floor lounge with large flat screen television. The spacious dining room overlooks the grounds and garden. On the first floor the quiet lounge gives on to two balcony areas. The large and airy lounge on second floor provides additional television viewing facilities. The Home has is own fully equipped hairdressing salon, and a selection of specialist bathrooms including a hydrotherapy bath.

  • Home Manager - Angie Stewart

    Angie StewartAngie is a Registered Nurse who has worked in healthcare for the past twenty five years both in the UK and overseas in Africa and Australia. She also has an Honours Degree in nutrition from Westminster University. Angie has worked for Colten Care since 1998, firstly at Brook View as a Sister, and then on promotion to Matron in 2005 she transferred to Canford Chase. She has completed her Diploma in Management at Bournemouth and Poole College. She has twin boys.

  • Deputy / Head of Care - Dahlia Austin

    Dahlia AustinDahlia has worked at Canford Chase since 2000. She took a short break from nursing to bring up her two sons. After completing her General Nursing Training in England, she lived in Scotland where she obtained her Midwifery and Mental Health Qualifications. Dahlia was a school Governor for eighteen years, and is a J.P.

    Juliana Clarke Sales Administrator Canford Chase

    Juliana has worked in the care home sector for over 22 years. She previously worked at Brook View, one of our sister homes since 2004 as Receptionist/ Senior Carer. Juliana is enjoying her role as Sales Administrator; she is always ready and happy to help. Juliana is married with 3 children and her spare time she enjoys gardening, reading and formula one racing.

  • Activity Organiser - Maria Grant

    Maria Grant Activitiy Organiser Canford ChaseMaria, previously a teacher of Modern Languages is used to organising events and enjoys seeing the pleasure older people get from facilitated social interaction and meaningful activity. Maria has a long term interest in dementia care. In her spare time Maria enjoys walks, yoga and socialising with friends and family. 

     

  • Chef - Peter Watson

    Chef Peter Watson Canford Chase Care HomePeter undertook his training in the north of England and studied for his 706/1 Qualification at Courtfield College near Blackpool. Peter moved to Wiltshire in 1974 where he attended Northstar College studying for his 706/2 Qualification in cold buffet chaud froid and aspic work. After travelling throughout South East Asia Peter returned to work at Cambridge University cooking at the Riverside Restaurant where he was asked to cook a private luncheon for Princess Margaret. Peter’s expertise and professionalism are very apparent in the Canford Chase kitchen.
  • Chef - Tony Bennett

    Tony BennettTony undertook his Chef training in Cornwall where he gained his City & Guilds 705 & 706/2 qualifications, he continued his Chef training in a variety of restaurants, hotels and private hospitals. Most recently Tony was head Chef in a private school. In April 2010 Tony joined Colten Care Ltd as Chef at Canford Chase.Tony undertook his Chef training in Cornwall where he gained his City & Guilds 705 & 706/2 qualifications, he continued his Chef training in a variety of restaurants, hotels and private hospitals.
