Castle View provides an atmosphere of spaciousness and light, with its luxurious reception lounge, garden room with French doors leading to patio and garden, large terrace, and second floor lounge with panoramic views over surrounding countryside. The Home offers four luxury suites with separate sleeping and living areas. Our well-equipped activities room has a kitchenette for the use of residents and visitors alike. There is a fully equipped hairdressing salon, and a selection of specialist bathrooms including a hydrotherapy bath.

  • Home Manager - Sarah Harper

    Sarah HarperSarah has over 15 years experience working in the care home environment and has been at Castle View since it opened in 2002 as Deputy Matron and promoted to Matron in April 2008. She is an NVQ Assessor and is very proactive with training and developing staff, she continues to manage a home that has a warm, friendly environment.

  • Deputy/Head of care - Ashika Reddy

    Ashika ReddyAshika moved to England from South Africa in March 2006, she is a registered nurse and has a diploma in General Psychiatry & Midwifery. Ashika previously worked in a NHS hospital and community Health Centre from 2002-2006 prior to working for Colten Care. Ashika is a qualified NVQ Assessor and lives locally with her young family.

  • Receptionist - Shelley Branch

    Shelly BranchShelley joined Castle View in June 2004 as receptionist, having previously worked in a doctor’s surgery in Weymouth. She is a registered First Aider. Before moving into hospitality Shelley studied interior design at Weymouth College and has a keen eye for detail, as well as being organised. She has lived, studied and worked in Weymouth and Dorchester all her life.

  • Activity Organiser - Sue Goodwin

    Sue GoodwinSue has worked for Colten Care for 2 years as a Health Care Assistant and enjoyed being a social carer so much that when the opportunity arose for the position of Activity Organiser at Castle View Sue applied with the purpose of bringing interests, happiness and environment to the resident’s daily lives. As a people person Sue really enjoys her new role.

  • Chef - Sarah Watts

    Sarah WattsSarah began her catering career at Brunel Catering College Bristol, where she gained her City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 in cooking. Sarah’s moved to London and worked at the Great Western Royal Hotel Paddington where she stayed for eighteen months. As well as working in Hotels Sarah has also been employed in contract catering and was part of the catering team that cooked for the Queen at the opening of The National Museum of Wales. Sarah spent the last ten years working and touring in Europe. In 2009 Sarah joined Colten Care Ltd as Chef at Castle View care home in Dorchester where she has settled in and is enjoying very much.

  • Chef - Simon Kercher

    Simon KercherIn 1995 Simon began his catering career at Winfrith College, gaining his NVQ 1&2 after a 2 year course. After progressing from Commis Chef for 4 years at the White Hart Hotel in Weymouth he then worked as Head Chef at the ‘Cave Hole’ in Portland, which specialise in fresh local seafood. He then moved to Dorset, working at ‘The Forester’, catering for people with special needs. In June 2007 he joined Castle View one of Colten Care’s many Homes. In 2004 Simon achieved Chef of the Year Award, competing with over 300 chefs for the Sodhexo Catering and Support Services for Bovington Army Camp Officers Mess.
