Carers trade uniforms for fashion!
March 31, 2011
On Friday 25th of March the staff at Court Lodge Care Home in Lymington, changed uniforms for costumes and strutted their stuff on the catwalk.
The theme of the fashion show was fashion through the decades so each member of staff participating was allocated a decade from the 20’s to modern day to portray. The event was staged in the dining room which was adorned with paper chandeliers and faux stage lighting. Hayley, the activities organizer wore a 20/30s flapper dress while Emma Jackson from Laundry donned a typical 60’s go-go girl outfit and Amy, the nurse made a perfect Marilyn Monroe.
Each promenade down the catwalk was accompanied by a stereotypical song of that decade. The residents really enjoyed seeing Calum from the kitchen prancing around in 70s flares and an afro. Everyone loved the fabulous show.
