Kingfisher’s offers 60 beautifully appointed single bedrooms all of which have en-suite facilities, flat screen televisions with freeview, private telephones and internet availability as standard. The spacious reception area creates a welcoming atmosphere with views looking out through the dining room glass doors, into the garden. The main lounge also offers access to the beautifully landscaped garden which has several covered areas to ensure the garden can be enjoyed throughout the year. There are comfortably furnished lounges on each floor where residents can relax and chat with family and friends. The activity room is well equipped with computers and internet access for residents use as well as offering a wide range of activities to suit personal preferences and varying abilities.

The Lyndhurst suite accommodates residents with varying degrees of memory loss or dementia.  The layout and surroundings of this suite are professionally  designed to help residents with memory loss orientate themselves whilst as far as possible retaining a degree of independence in a secure and welcoming environment.

  • Home Manager - Rebecca Hannam

    Rebecca HannamRebecca holds a diploma in healthcare management and has significant experience working in the care home industry. Most recently Rebecca was employed as Operations Manager for a charity running catholic care homes. Her emphasis is on managing the business, operational and staffing aspects of the care home and she is supported clinically by the Head of Care. Rebecca has a sound understanding of healthcare provision in care homes and is actively involved in ensuring high standards of care and overall resident satisfaction is achieved at all times. Rebecca lives locally with her husband and enjoys the leisure opportunities provided by the Solent and the New Forest.

  • Head of Care - Jackie Seebourn

    Jackie Seebourn Head of Care Kingfishers

    Jackie is a trained Nurse and Midwife from Mauritius who specialised in Industrial Emergency Injuries. Since 1975 Jackie took an Adaptation course at Woodpeckers in Brockenhurst. She has been working in elderly care as an RGN and Head of Care within several Colten Care Homes for many years. Jackie is a qualified mentor and has a degree in Care Management. Jackie lives locally with her husband and during her spare time she enjoys ballroom dancing, knitting and sewing.

  • Deputy Head of Care - Anne Sellars

    Anne Sellers Head of Care Kingfishers Specialist Dementia Care HomeAnne is an experienced registered general and mental nurse with over 20 years experience in Dementia Care. Anne has worked in managerial posts within local nursing homes including Berkshire and Merseyside. She lives locally with her partner and in her spare time she collects and makes teddy bears and enjoys creative writing.

  • Receptionist/Administrator - Lisa Jones

    Lisa Jones Receptionist Kingfishers

    Lisa is experienced in Customer Service and Administrative duties having worked within Somerset County Council Community Directorate where she assisted in providing Day Services for Adults with Learning Disabilities. She has also spent many years working as an Activity Organiser. Lisa moved to Hampshire in 2011, her spare time is spent playing Golf, walking and reading.

  • Activity Organiser - Carlie Nicholas

    Carlie NicholasCarlie left university in 2009 having gained a BA honours in Illustration. After working as a Healthcare Assistant in the community for a while she realised how much she loved working with people and making a difference. Carlie is now using her creative skills to provide stimulating activities for our residents living with dementia. In Carlie’s spare time she loves to take part in craft fairs and enjoys weaving, felting, model making and painting.

  • Activity Organiser - Susie Blackmore

    Susie Blackmore Activity Organiser Kingfishers Care HomeSusie joined Kingfishers in 2011 having worked in Belmore Lodge in Lymington as a Social Carer and Part-Time Activities Organiser. Susie originally joined Colten Care in 1992 working a Health Care Assistant achieving NVQ level 3 and qualifying as an NVQ assessor. Susie is exceedingly creative and loves making people laugh. She lives locally with her family.

  • Chef - Julian Holmes

    Julian HolmesJulian started his catering career at Southdown’s College where he gained the City & Guilds 706/1, 2 and 3. On graduating Julian worked in various hotels and restaurants in Hampshire. In 2002 he joined Colten Care at Court Lodge and later moved to Monmouth House. Julian’s specialities include scones and doughnuts as well as traditional English fare.
