The Aldbury

The Aldbury is a dedicated care home for people living with dementia. Purpose built, it has a strong reputation for helping residents even with the most demanding dementia conditions to live well. Close to Poole in Dorset, an area renowned for offering a busy life in retirement, the Aldbury’s belief in enabling activity makes it a happy and cheering place to be, with a strong sense of community and togetherness.

This summer we produced a short film about Colten Care's approach to Dementia Care, including experiences kindly shared by relatives. We hope this might help you to understand how our staff and home facilities might be of help to you and your loved ones. To view the 7 minute film click here.

Last year Colten Care raised a fantastic £32,448 for various charities and The Aldbury contributed £2306.78. This year our home will be supporting the Dolstan Wood (Cancer Unit, Poole Hospital).

The Resident Welcome Pack has been prepared to help you, or your loved one settle in quickly and comfortably. It provides information about our Company, the Home and other useful information. A copy will be available in your room upon arrival.
Colten Care’s dedicated Admiral Nurse. Admiral Nurses are specialist dementia care nurses who give expert practical, clinical and emotional support to families facing the challenges of dementia.
