Residential & Nursing Care
In the heart of the New Forest, Woodpeckers is built around a fine Arts and Crafts home, offering residential and nursing care in a secluded yet vibrant environment. Woodpeckers lies on the edge of Brockenhurst, with the New Forest in view, but the ample facilities and life of this popular village in easy reach. Ponies, donkeys and even deer graze peacefully at the roadside, while the traditional interiors of the home draw you in to its warmth and sociable ambiance.

We pride ourselves on our beautiful and stimulating gardens. We recognise that many of our residents had such gardens themselves, and that gardening may have been a special pastime for them. We like to think that we can offer residents the opportunity to continue that pastime in whatever way they feel appropriate.

Every year, we celebrate the hard work and dedication of the team members across the Colten group who consistently deliver above and beyond expectations. Colleagues, residents, and their relatives can all put forward their nominations, before the finalists are invited to a glittering gala ceremony at Bournemouth's Highcliff Marriott Hotel, hosted by none other than TV's Dr Hilary Jones.
Colten Care has become the first major provider in the UK's private care home sector to begin a group-wide reduction of single-use plastic. This is a significant move given the care sector's traditionally high use of plastic in clinical services, person-centred care and infection control.
Last year, Colten Care raised a fantastic £32,815.19 for various charities, with Woodpeckers contributing £1,444.56. This year, our home will be supporting The Honeypot Children's Charity and our local Scout group.
