Whilst we grieve our loss, we take high comfort knowing she was safe and well cared for throughout her time with you. Not only did you care for her but you also cared for us as a family. Nothing was every too much- you are an amazing team, friendly and helpful. Never too short of a smile, or a cup of tea! Woodpeckers will always have a happy place in our hearts.”

“On Wednesday 14th February, my husband and I were walking in Brookley Road when we were randomly given a gift each. It was International book giving day. The random act of kindness that we experienced came from Woodpeckers Care home! What a wonderful thing to do. We just want to say a huge thank you for your kindness.”

“I would like to thank you and all your staff for everything you have done for Dad over the last 3 years. When he came to you, he was so poorly, I never thought he would see it past his 90th birthday, let alone only just miss his 93rd. I know that we had dad for those years because of your excellent care you gave and of course the nursing. Thank you so much to the laundry staff who kept him so clean and clothes ironed. Thank you to the cleaners who somehow managed to work round his clutter. And thank you to then girls running the entertainment, especially the ones running around to do the special effects at pantomimes. I was worried that dad would not settle to life in a home, but he did and it was due to the way you and all your staff managed his care. You are all wonderful, wonderful people and god bless you all.”

“Thank you all so much for letting Jim and I have Christmas lunch with you at Woodpeckers. It meant a lot that we were able to be with Mum for the day and have lunch together. Please pass on my thanks to Chef, especially for taking care of my wheat allergy. I am just full of praise for all you did to celebrate the festive season. It seemed to me that there was something each day for the residents to come together and enjoy in the days leading up to the 25th, and I was so impressed with the way you created a cheerful and welcoming atmosphere on the day itself. It’s a tricky time, isn’t it, and I don’t suppose Mum was the only one who found it hard to enter into the Christmas spirit. You couldn’t have done more to encourage her, though, and thank you for remaining kind and caring even when she couldn’t help showing her frustration (special shout-out to Jo here). I hope you all managed to get some well deserved time off with friends and family as well, and wish you all a peaceful, healthy and happy New Year With our very warmest regards to you all.”
