Abbey View DIY – Doll’s House

Inspired by the residents’ love of watching DIY shows and the idea to undertake a project,

Our Companion Sara scouted around Charity Shops and found a lovely old doll’s house, which showed much potential for a makeover. Our Maintenance Man Richie checked over the house regarding the electrics etc, and the work began! Residents Marie and Edna enthusiastically got stuck into this fixer upper, painting the inside and outside of the house with a fresh coat of paint out in the glorious sunshine. There was much discussion and banter about how the interior should be decorated. Each week the doll’s house renovation on our weekly planner stimulates curiosity and excitement amongst our residents about the next phase. This little house is enjoying so much TLC and will more than likely appreciate more in value than the average home. Watch this space for our updates……..
