A Beautiful Poem

Recently we visited Whitecliffe House.

Roy was so inspired by the lovely day we all had, that he felt that he wanted to put pen to paper and wrote a beautiful poem about the day.

Fields and Faces New
You’ll be welcome at Whitecliffe House they said.
There’ll be a barbecue lunch.
So, all needs will be fed.
But while welcome to the latest fold,
Please bring a coat – it’s going to be cold.
So off to pastures new.
To be greeted by the Whitecliffe Crew.
A glass of Pimm’s and new faces to welcome us.
We felt quite at home in the warmth that surrounded us.
Tasty barbecue lunch with Eton Mess to follow.
Then a bird quiz – how could you possibly miss a Swallow?
Time to leave with driver Nick and Sara on the Colten bus.
Then home to Abbey View,
Where they hadn’t miss us!
