A Party Fit For A King

After a day of watching Coronation Day Coverage on TV, the Abbey View residents held their own celebration on Sunday.

The event started with Rachel Hill’s beautiful singing and guitar playing, and everyone was enchanted by her performance of “Fields of Gold.” Rachel encouraged the residents to join in with percussion instruments and sing along if they knew the words.

Next, they enjoyed a fabulous buffet lunch in a patriotically decorated dining room, and the staff entertained them with disco dancing and a Swan Lake adaptation. George, a health care assistant, sang a famous Bollywood love song, thrilling everyone with his professional singing from India. Finally, the day ended with a royal quiz and drinks at the Abbey View Arms.

The event was a grand success, enjoyed by all.
