A Trip To Our Chosen Charity

Today, we bundled up with umbrellas and waterproof jackets, braving the wet weather to spend an afternoon at Rylands Farm, our chosen charity.

We were warmly and enthusiastically welcomed by wonderful people into a rustic and cosy barn, where the folk instantly made us feel at home. A couple of goats and ponies were even escorted into the barn to eat some fruit with the guests, which David thoroughly enjoyed.

There was much laughter, singing along to well-known songs accompanied by one of the gents playing the guitar, a fun quiz, and hot cups of tea with hot cross buns. The sound of rain pelting down on the tin roof made for a truly special afternoon.

Afterwards, David said, “I enjoyed that so much! It was totally not what I was expecting, but a lot of fun. I feel happily exhausted!”
