A Visit from the Alpacas

Abbey View residents enjoyed a much-anticipated visit from alpacas Alfie and Socks.

The session was organised to give residents the opportunity to engage with the animals in a way that suited them best – with several residents choosing to spend time in the garden while others preferred individual room visits.

Ken waited in the garden ahead of the visit, while Pat and Margaret enjoyed more personalised time with the animals in their rooms. The visit also included time with Home Manager Elena, who joined residents outside during the afternoon.

The experience prompted conversation throughout the home, with residents asking questions and showing interest in future visits.
