Countryside Views in Compton Valence

Residents set off on the minibus for a scenic drive through Compton Valence, hoping to catch a glimpse of the village’s well-known snowdrops.

Despite the grey skies, the countryside did not disappoint. Delicate clusters of white blooms lined parts of the village, offering a gentle sign that the seasons are beginning to shift.

The journey itself was just as enjoyable, with rolling fields and grazing sheep providing plenty to observe along the way. Residents shared memories of rural life and farming traditions as we travelled.

Even with the drizzle, it was a refreshing morning out, combining fresh scenery, conversation and Dorset charm.
