Moon Landing Mayhem

To celebrate 55 years since the first Moon Landing, Abbey View residents spent the evening remembering that special event.

We watched the footage of the launch and landing of Apollo 11 and discussed where we were when men first walked on the moon.  Fairy lights and American bunting completed the scene and a glass of wine helped to set the mood.

Several residents had made a moon and landing vessel to play a special game of ‘Hook the spaceship’, which everyone loved.  We learnt all about the moon landing with a list of mind-blowing facts about how this ‘Giant leap for mankind’ was achieved.

It was a super evening which everyone agreed was ‘Out of this World’.
