National Cat Day

We welcomed one of our team’s pet cats, Kitty, into the home to meet and greet our residents.

Kitty first visited the home when she was a kitten. Now aged 12, she is still very pleased to socialise with both familiar and new residents. John was particularly delighted to spend some special time with Kitty, as he has kept cats for many years.

Kitty is a firm favourite among residents Brenda, Marjorie G, and Marjorie P, who have resided at Abbey View for a few years now. Judith had to make the sad decision to rehome her two cats when she moved into a nursing home. Kitty settled in so well in Judith’s room that she was clearly reluctant to leave.
