Shillingstone Railway Station

Residents Roy, Alec, Janet, and Paul set off on a delightful outing to Shillingstone Railway Station, a charming, volunteer-run heritage site.
The journey itself offered postcard-worthy countryside views, and Roy shared insights from his favourite railway magazine over the bus microphone, adding a personal touch to the trip.
At the station, Paul enjoyed exploring the restored carriages, including one converted into a cosy Station Café. The atmosphere of nostalgia and care was clear, and after time spent appreciating the dedication of over 500 volunteers, residents savoured a hearty steak pasty under the spring sunshine — a truly memorable day out.
