St Andrew’s Day Celebrations

Abbey View marked St Andrew’s Day with a thoughtful blend of Scottish tradition and warm community spirit.

The dining table was set with tartan placemats and miniature Scottish flags, while bunting and the sound of bagpipes provided a gentle nod to the occasion.

Chef Manny prepared a hearty Scottish breakfast, complete with traditional square sausage — an undisputed highlight according to Alec, who declared it an “award-winning breakfast.” Alongside the meal, residents enjoyed a St Andrew’s Day quiz and a short exploration of the history behind the celebration, adding a touch of insight to the morning.

Sheila summed up the atmosphere beautifully: “We are so fortunate at Abbey View because there is always so much to do and no two days are ever the same! It is always stimulating!”
