Abbotts Barton Raises £2,500 for Charity

Abbotts Barton Care Home has presented a cheque for £2,500 to Winchester Hospice in recognition of a year of successful fundraising.

Events held throughout 2025 included raffles, a summer fete, and a community dog walk, all supported by residents, staff, and families.

Dee Lovewell, Home Manager at Abbotts Barton, handed the cheque to Jo Westerman, Fundraising Officer for the hospice. Jo commented:

“We’re delighted that we’ve been Abbotts Barton Care Home’s charity of the year and it’s been lovely to see them get involved in a range of fundraising activity to support us. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped raise such a fantastic amount for Winchester Hospice, funds that will help us care for local people when they need us most.”

The fundraising efforts highlight the home’s commitment to supporting local charities and the active role of its residents and staff in the wider community.
