A Cruise Around the Harbour

Our residents love being out on the water, especially in the summer.

We booked tickets for a cruise organised by Chichester Conservancy on board a solar powered boat. The crew provided us with a fascinating commentary on the surrounding areas: their history, wildlife, and nature conservation.

The weather was clear enough to be able to see as far as the Isle of Wight and the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth. We even saw the Oyster Boat, Terror, that is the last example of an open decked working sale boat from Emsworth’s Oyster industry.

Everyone agreed that it had been a really fantastic afternoon. Lynda said “It was such a good trip out, so interesting – I’m so glad I came!”
