A Day Trip Through the New Forest

Residents at Abbotts Barton enjoyed a full-day minibus trip through the New Forest, where they spotted ponies grazing among the heathland and took in the changing countryside views along the way.

The group then travelled to Milford-on-Sea for lunch at a café overlooking the coast. The weather provided a dramatic backdrop throughout the day, with bursts of sunshine appearing between passing showers. Making the most of a dry spell, residents took a stroll along the seafront, enjoying the fresh air and sea views.

Elcia and Ruth spent part of the afternoon laughing together by the water’s edge. Reflecting on the visit, Ruth said she loved being beside the sea and enjoyed feeling the breeze in her hair as she looked out across the coastline.
