A Visit to the Sea City Museum

Residents enjoyed a minibus trip to the Sea City Museum in Southampton, exploring the Titanic exhibition and learning about the ship, its crew, and passengers.

They experienced the enquiry into what went wrong and discussed what life in Southampton would have been like at the time, imagining the excitement of the Titanic’s voyage.

After lunch in the Galley, residents explored the wider history of Southampton, viewing paintings and trying on early 1900s outfits. The trip offered a mix of learning, exploration, and fun, with residents engaging with the displays and sharing observations. Barry summed up the outing, saying, “Well that was a good day out I think, I certainly learned a lot.”
