Cheese and Wine Party

Today, we held a Cheese and Wine Party in the Dining Room. 

Residents had been eagerly anticipating the afternoon. We had eleven different cheeses for them to try; six were kindly donated by local cheese makers. 

We had Tunworth and Winslade from the Hampshire Cheese Company and Garlic and Nettle, Lyburn Gold, Old Winchester, and Lightly Oak Smoked Cheddar from Lyburn Farm. 

There were plenty of crackers, olives, and red wines to complement the cheese. Meanwhile, we invited a local cellist to the home to play some enchanting background music. 

Barry said, “The green cheese looked off-putting, but actually tasted very good!”
