Crafting Summer Decorations

With the recent spell of fine weather, residents at Abbotts Barton spent an afternoon making bright paper decorations for their rooms and the lounges.
Sheets of patterned paper in bold summer colours brought to mind days out in the sunshine.
Circles were carefully glued together in repeating patterns, then finished with strings of beads. Each decoration took on its own character as different colours and shapes were combined.
There was particular concentration around the bead selection, with residents comparing combinations and threading them into place. Elcia remarked that she had not threaded beads since she was a young child. By the end of the session, a collection of cheerful decorations was ready to hang throughout the home.
