Handcrafted Wreaths

As December approaches, the Christmas spirit is beginning to take hold at Abbotts Barton.

This afternoon, our gardener gathered a beautiful selection of foliage from the grounds, ready for a small but wonderfully dedicated group of residents to transform into festive wreaths for our lounges.

Each person played a part — some carefully clipping the branches, others choosing the finest sprigs, and a few expertly weaving everything together before the arrangements were set into bases of holly and pine. The addition of delicate lights provided the perfect finishing touch, bringing a gentle glow that already hints at the warmth of the season ahead.

Marion summed up the mood perfectly, delighted with the results and declaring, “It’s time to put up the rest now!” It seems our Christmas decorating will be continuing sooner rather than later, and we couldn’t be more pleased to see such enthusiasm filling the home.
