Mary Reopens St Bartholomew’s Church

Resident Mary recently attended the opening ceremony at St Bartholomew’s Church, where she was invited to perform the honour of cutting the ribbon.
As one of the church’s longest-standing parishioners, Mary was warmly welcomed by Reverend Karen Kousseff, members of the congregation and friends of the church community. Over refreshments, many people took the opportunity to catch up with Mary and congratulate her on her role in the ceremony.
The event also welcomed Jamie Scott, who joined the proceedings alongside Reverend Kousseff. Following a few words about the church’s refurbishment project, Mary officially reopened the church by cutting the ribbon, marking the completion of the first stage of work on the historic building, which dates back to 1110.
