Resident Panto at Abbotts Barton

Abbotts Barton celebrated the New Year with a joyful Gala lunch, followed by a spirited performance of Red Riding Hood by our resident cast.
Weeks of rehearsals paid off as scenery, costumes, and carefully rehearsed roles brought the classic tale to life.
Caroline’s Red Riding Hood outwitted Alan’s howling wolf, while Pauline’s Grandma and Frances’ mother delivered hilarious ad-libs that had the audience in stitches.
Barry’s Monty Python-inspired lumberjack number added a delightful twist, with narrator Peter seamlessly guiding the story from start to finish. Family, friends, residents, and staff joined in the singing, booing and hissing at just the right moments, creating an afternoon filled with laughter, warmth, and memorable performances.
