Visit to museum of the Royal Logistic Corps

We recently visited the museum of the Royal Logistic Corps. They had a special exhibition about the role of horses in World War I. We were able to look at old ambulances, including a special one used to carry injured horses, meet the farrier and see his mobile ‘smithy’ and talk to soldiers dressed in uniform from the period.

John said “It was such an interesting afternoon and I probably only saw less than half of the exhibits. It will be worth another visit.”
