Whitchurch Morris Dancers in the Garden

Residents and staff gathered in the garden this weekend for a lively performance from the Whitchurch Morris Dancers, accompanied by traditional folk musicians. With the sun shining, the group performed a selection of folk dances and music that quickly drew the attention of everyone outside.

Foot-tapping soon turned into joining in, with a few staff stepping into the spirit of the dancing, bringing plenty of laughter from those watching. New resident Matthew especially enjoyed the afternoon, as he recognised one of the performers, Clare, who he knew previously through family connections.

After the performance, Matthew and Clare spent time chatting over a cup of tea. Reflecting on his first few days at Abbotts Barton, Matthew said: “I was very excited to meet up with Clare… it was such a special afternoon.”
