World Art Day

We have a few keen artists here at Abbotts Barton, so today we got together to sketch portraits for World Art Day.  

We decided on a picture of Maggie Smith as we thought the end results would be less offensive than drawing each other – as none of us were very confident with our portrait skills!  

We found it so interesting to see how we all approached it completely differently, and everyone had their own unique style and technique. 

Ruth said: “I love watching how everyone’s pictures develop, all completely different although we’re drawing the same thing.” Ruth and Anne have made plans to meet up again by themselves to have another session.
