See us on film

Recognising the growing number of residents living in our homes with dementia we wanted to do more to make sure that our staff were as able as possible to support our residents and their families. We knew we couldn’t do this alone and wanted to work with an organisation with a reassuring history in dementia care. So we began our professional partnership with Dementia UK in 2015 when we appointed our first Admiral Nurse and now we have a team of three including the only Consultant Admiral Nurse working in a care home setting. This has enabled us to develop our own dementia promise “Supporting you to overcome the challenges associated with dementia”. Essential to delivering on our promise is that our teams undertake specific training to support residents living with dementia and our collective “can do” approach life has really helped our residents to live well – doing things they always did at home and trying out new things. Watching the film below will help you get a better understanding of what our Admiral Nurse team does.
