Our Gardens

At Colten Care, we pride ourselves on our beautiful and stimulating gardens. We recognise that many of our residents had such gardens themselves, and that gardening may have been a special pastime for them. We like to think that we can offer residents the opportunity to continue that pastime in whatever way they feel appropriate.

Whether you enjoy walking amongst the blossoming buds, or just simply wish to keep a watchful eye on the sparrows and squirrels, we hope you find a piece of the garden to make your own.

"The residents really enjoy the garden here, and give me good feedback. We all really love the pergola walk with its wisteria and vines, and it's the hanging baskets here which add that splash of colour – everywhere. The backdrop of mature pine trees adds to the general feel of the garden, although a few less needles to pick up would be desirable! Unfortunately, we do have visits from our local deer, who fancy the rose flowers – especially when they’re just about to burst into flower! However, our residents are understanding and appreciate all our wildlife!"
