See us on film

From time to time, with the permission of the residents, we shoot short films. Whether you are a relative, friend or simply someone who is considering care, we hope these short films provide you with an insight and reassurance about life here in our home.

  • Song for Nicky Amberwood House bid farewell for now, to the lovely Nicky Stevens Nicky Stevens, a member of Brotherhood of Man and a Eurovision Song Contest winner, joined the Companionship Team at Colten Care’s Outstanding-rated Amberwood House care over the winter months. Along with 17 other new recruits, she helped with group activities such as arts and music sessions and delivered meaningful and inspiring one-to-one time. On Nicky's final day the home organised a secret farewell, presenting her with a cake, flowers and a framed photograph of her and the residents as a memento of her time with Colten Care. Music and Arts partner, Fiona Pritchard penned a goodbye song to the famous song ‘Save all your kisses for me’. Residents and staff sang in chorus to Nicky, who was utterly overwhelmed! Nicky will be back to visit, but for now its back to gigs as life returns to a ‘new normal..
