Afternoon in the New Forest

It was a lovely sunny afternoon, for a trip out to Ornamental Drive in the New Forest.

On arrival we parked in a lovely open space amongst the tall pine trees and were entertained by a golden retriever in his element having the odd little bit of ice cream.

Of course, we all agreed that ice cream would be a treat for us as well, so companion Nicky headed to the ice cream van and bought cones for all. We topped it off with some tea and biscuits.

The scenic drive home was every bit as enjoyable, with sweeping views of the countryside and the quiet charm of New Forest ponies meandering by. The afternoon left everyone in high spirits — and still talking about it the next day.
