Amberwood House Annual Dog Show
The sun was shining and the turnout for our dog show was fantastic.
Thirteen beautiful doggies turned up with their owners to wow the judges. Elaine and Steve were our Colten judges, and they were accompanied by Inge Liell and Irene Walton. Each dog and their owner paid £5 to enter all 10 categories of the dog show and all the money raised was donated to Ferndown Rotary our charity for the year. There were also Dog bandanas and treat jars for sale that had been created by the residents of Amberwood House.
The most popular category was certainly ‘Best Dressed’ which was won by both Roly the dog dressed as a Lion and Bertie the dog dressed as a super hero. They both looked adorable. We did have a huge amount of laughs as each owner was given an egg and spoon with which they had to race around the circuit without dropping their egg, it sounded easy until they were told they had to run with their dog on a lead!!!
We took a break at 3pm for a delicious afternoon tea served by our waitresses and chef Jacob and then we finished with Best In Show which was won by Pat Fisher’s family dog Bertie. We want to thank everyone for a great turnout, lots of smiles and laughs and of course for supporting our charity, Ferndown Rotary. We hope to see you all again next year.
