Cooks Club

Today, in Cooks Club we made delicious cheese straws.
Ron and Evelyn stepped up as our master chefs, while the rest of the room formed what can only be described as a very enthusiastic “tasting committee.” With pinnies on and hands washed, we got straight into action.
A big focus of these sessions is encouraging independence and confidence in preparing food. Evelyn told us how much she enjoyed having a go.
The cheese straws didn’t hang around for long. Our “spectators” seemed to turn into “inspectors” the moment the trays came out of the oven, making sure every single one was up to standard… some even insisted on two or three quality-control checks, just to be extra thorough.
