Fun at Ferndown Fete on the Field

It was a perfect summer day – the kind of day made for getting out and about; so, what better way to spend it than at the Ferndown Fete on the Field?

We hopped aboard the Colten bus for a short trip across to the field. We  parked up right next to the Colten stalls. With a laugh, resident Evelyn declared, “It feels like we’re royalty!”

Once we parked up, Shirley made a beeline for the honey stall. Meanwhile, Evelyn and Companion Team leader Kirsty took their time strolling around the stalls, chatting with the friendly ladies from the WI. Evelyn was thrilled to see some familiar faces.

John had only one destination in mind: the beer stand. He treated himself to a half pint, popped on his sun hat, and found a shady spot to sit and watch the world go by. Not far off, Irene was elbows deep in cupcake decorating, sampling one or two of her creations and tucking one away for her daughter later.
