Holme Gardens And Beyond

This morning, we set off for the charming Holme Gardens, a perfect spot for our outing.

First, we enjoyed a gentle stroll through the gardens, where we admired the colours, scents, and peaceful hum of late summer. And before long, it was time for lunch.

John couldn’t resist ordering a local Dorset Ale to go with his fish and chips, a portion so large it proved a worthy adversary. He gave it a good go, mind you, but in the end, even he had to admit defeat!

After lunch, we enjoyed a scenic coastal drive. First stop: Corfe Castle. From there, we took the winding route through Studland, with its sweeping sea views, until we reached the ferry at Sandbanks. As we waited to cross, we watched the windsurfers. A few jokes were made about who might be brave enough to join them. “It certainly won’t be me!” Shirley laughed.
