Life is better down at the farm…

Our chosen charity this year is High Mead Farm and recently they held there Spring Fair fundraiser where they opened the farm up to visitors.
High Mead Farm offers a day service to people suffering with mental health, physical disabilities, addiction, Alzheimer & dementia diagnosis, brain injury, vision & hearing impairment, autism, children excluded from school, Parkinson’s and learning difficulties to engage in an array of interesting activities on the farm.
We of course headed to High Mead Farm to partake in the Fair Fundraiser. We visited the pigs, alpacas, rabbits, and guinea pigs but our hearts were stolen by the cutest new additions to the pygmy goat family, buttons, sprout, mischief, and milo! Diane our Home Manager tried to convince John and Ann to squeeze a baby goat into their rollators for us to take back to Amberwood House!
Lunch time soon came, so out came the deck chairs and picnic blanket and we got stuck in, finishing off with a warm sugary doughnut and some candyfloss which made all childhood memories come flooding back.
John and Noreen enjoyed an afternoon beer whilst others wondered the craft stalls before we called it a day and headed back to Amberwood to tell the stories of our great day out.
