Memory Tray
After some refreshing rainfall the previous day, we were blessed with beautiful day.
We couldn’t resist the opportunity to soak up the sunshine and decided to take our afternoon activities to the garden. We believed that the warmth and brightness would boost our brainpower.
Our chosen activity was the Memory Tray Game. We gathered some items and placed them on a tray in front of the residents. We gave a brief description of each item and allowed everyone to observe them for a short time.
Then, we covered the items with a tea towel and removed the tray from sight, secretly taking away one or two objects. The tray was then brought back to the table, and the residents had to recall and write down the missing items. We engaged in a discussion to determine which items had been removed. To add an extra challenge, we gradually introduced a couple of extra items and rearranged the existing ones.
The afternoon turned out to be immensely rewarding and provided a stimulating exercise for our brains. We all enjoyed the challenge and the opportunity to sharpen our memory skills.
