Our Big Aquatic Adventure

We set off from Amberwood House around 10:30am ready for a day at the Aquarium.

It wasn’t a long bus journey but we had plenty of our favourite songs to sing a long with. We were accompanied by both Companions Kirsty and Sharon, so we knew it was going to be a action packed day. Upon arrival to the Oceanarium, we were greeted by two very helpful advisors that gave us a map of the centre and the feeding times for the animals.

We headed straight up to the first floor for the penguin feeding. We loved the talk given by the staff even if it was a little stinky in there from all the fish the penguins feasted on! We became very fond of the little penguin called Pecker as we laughed at all his antics! From there it was down to the jellyfish, sharks and the humongous turtle!! We were getting a little peckish so we headed to the café for a cram packed, delicious sandwich with a cup of tea whilst we rested our tired feet from all the walking. When it was time to head back, we sang all the way home, whilst some of us had a little nap. Once back we told the others of all the things we had seen and what a great day we had. What adventure shall we have next?
