Pot Plant Snails

We’ve begun preparations for our big lunch date fête in June, and our residents have come up with a lovely idea — a charity plant stand!
Today, we kicked preparations off by making adorable snails out of air-dry clay, each with a shiny marble for a shell, to jazz up the plant pots.
John took on the role of chief roller, expertly shaping the clay into long sausage rolls for the ladies to form into snails. Margaret then carefully added the marbles to complete them.
As you can see, John was quite proud of the finished creations — and joked that it’s a good thing the snails aren’t real, or they’d be munching through our plants and costing us money instead of raising it!
