Putting the Fun in Fundraising

Our residents worked hard all year to raise money for our 2024 chosen charity, High Mead Farm. 

We made dog bandanas to sell at our dog show, crafted air-dry clay hearts and treat jars for our Harvest Fete, and ran a “Guess the Sweets in the Jar” competition at our Christmas Market. We also held raffles at our gala and organised a sweepstake for the Grand National. Altogether, we raised an incredible £985.50! 

To celebrate, we invited some of the farmers and volunteers from High Mead to visit and collect their cheque. 

We were thrilled to receive an invitation to visit the farm in the spring to meet the new baby animals and take part in a pottery class or two. It was a fantastic visit and a fascinating insight into life at High Mead Farm, which offers a therapeutic farm experience for people living with a range of conditions.
