Smell the sea, feel the breeze, hear the ocean, be at ease

As we boarded the bus, we fastened our seat belts and I asked, “Where should we go?”

Noreen suggested, “How about Christchurch?” and Pauline added, “To the sea.” So we decided to head to Mudeford Quay.

After parking, we disembarked the bus and took a stroll around the quay. The air was fresh, and the sea was calm. Margery took deep breaths and remarked, “Isn’t it wonderful to be in the place we love?” We waved to people on boats and made a fuss over salty sea dogs. Martin then produced a secret stash of birdseed, and we sat on a bench with cozy blankets over our legs, gazing out to sea while holding out our hands filled with birdseed for the starlings to nibble on.

As we started to feel chilly, we retreated to the minibus for tea and biscuits before returning to Amberwood for supper. Margery said it was the best trip she had ever been on because it reminded her of happy memories. So, where shall we go next?
