St David’s Day

We celebrated St David’s Day in style with Companion Nicky.

Residents and their families and friends, along with many of the staff, celebrated the day with Nicky, by watching past television footage of her performance in the group Brotherhood of Man.

We played the famous ‘Save Your Kisses for Me’ from the night the group won the Eurovision Contest in 1976. Many did not know that Nicky is the only Welsh person to ever win the contest.

Nicky also brought in some of her Gold Discs for people to see. Everybody voiced that they’d had such an enjoyable day.
